Byfield Consultancy, the UK's leading legal sector communications consultancy, today announces the launch of Byfield Netherlands and its Benelux practice.
The Byfield Netherlands office, based in the centre of Amsterdam, will be led by Elizabeth James Tingen, who has been appointed as Director. Elizabeth brings more than a decade of experience advising law firms, legal sector businesses and public sector organisations on reputation, disputes, public affairs and strategic communications. She has worked extensively across the three Benelux jurisdictions and has been a longstanding partner of Byfield through the Mirovia international network of legal sector specialist communications consultancies.
Byfield Netherlands extends Byfield's specialist communications offering across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and builds on Byfield’s reputation advising UK and international law firms on strategic communications and profile-raising, as well as its independently recognised expertise in disputes and investigations communications and crisis communications.
The launch reflects the growing importance of the Benelux region within the international legal market, including the expansion of collective actions in the Netherlands, increased regulatory scrutiny across Europe and a growing demand from clients for specialist communications advice spanning multiple jurisdictions.
The Netherlands office will place a strong emphasis on reputation management communications in disputes and investigations work, a rapidly growing area across the Benelux driven by the rise of collective redress under the WAMCA regime in the Netherlands (the Dutch law enabling collective claims for mass damages), increasing sanctions and regulatory enforcement activity, and the growing internationalisation of commercial disputes.
